Even at the biggest concerts in the world with the top performers, you will hear music fans bickering about new songs versus playing the same familiar ones and “covering” the music of other bands.
On July 12, 2024, The Atlanticare Concerts on the Beach will solve that problem with a ladies night double header!
At 7 p.m., one of the finest singer/songwriters and entertaining divas in the Northeastern United States and Europe, Dana Fuchs, brings her show to The Somers Point Beach.
She was the lead singer in the cult movie with all the Beatles songs, “Across The Universe,” and played Janis Joplin off Broadway!
She regularly sells impressive numbers of her own Ruff Records recordings, which are highly rated by Billboard Magazine and MTV.
Fuchs will perform a full concert on the beach from 7-8:15pm.
At 8:30 p.m., a group of the finest musicians in New Jersey, including Bob Kimmel, Rich “Megahurtz” Kurtz, Andy Schlee and Danny Eyer will perform a tribute show to the great female vocalists entitled, “The Girls Can’t Help It.”
With a vocal performance by the great Patty Balbo, the show will feature music going all the way back to Janis Joplin, Grace Slick and Jefferson Airplane, through the 80’s to The Pretenders, Joan Jett, and ultimately the contemporary sounds of Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift! It will be quite a ride that will take us all the way up to just before the 10 p.m. curfew!
