The Italian Festival returned to Historic Smithville on Sept. 19, bringing food, music, shopping and family activities to the Galloway Township destination.
Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, the festival featured more than 80 craft vendors offering handmade goods. Visitors browsed the displays while enjoying entertainment and activities.
Italian food was a central part of the celebration, with 15 food vendors serving a variety of dishes. Three wineries offered wine samples, while a beer and hard seltzer tent provided additional beverage options for adults.
Live music and a DJ added to the atmosphere as attendees gathered throughout the grounds. Other activities included face painting and a bocce court where visitors could learn and play the traditional Italian game for free.
A 50/50 raffle was held as part of the festival. Organizers said the event attracted thousands of attendees.
The celebration brought residents, visitors, vendors and community organizations together while highlighting Italian culture.
Historic Smithville’s village setting provided the backdrop, allowing guests to explore its shops and grounds while enjoying food, drinks, music, crafts and activities.
