Ahead of First Responder’s Day on Oct. 28, Hard Rock Atlantic City presented a $5,000 donation to the Atlantic City Police Foundation and $5,000 to the Atlantic City Fire Department during the Atlantic City Police Foundation’s Annual Atlantic City Hero Luncheon hosted at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood on Friday, Oct. 16.
The luncheon honored three Atlantic City Police Department officers and three AtlantiCare trauma surgeons and others on the trauma team whose courage, quick action and skill were instrumental in saving lives during a June 2026 shooting.
The Foundation recognized ACPD Detective Marquez Jones and Sgt. Christian Ivanov, who were wounded by gunfire while serving a search warrant. The Foundation will also honored Officer Robert Reynolds, who stopped the assailant. The three officers were recognized alongside AtlantiCare trauma surgeons Dr. Kelly Willman, Dr. Stephen Dudick and Dr. Robyn Guinto, and others on the trauma team, who received the Foundation’s Hero Award in recognition of their extraordinary medical care and lifesaving efforts.
