Halloween Experience at Forever Forest

Featured attractions include “A Nightmare Before Christmas” fright trolley through the tree farm with Halloween decorations and live actors, a daytime scenic trolley ride through Forever Forest, and “Zombie Wars” Lazer Tag. Storybook Land’s Fall into Fun Festival

Storybook Land is proud to offer several fall attractions and events. Take a walk through Elmer’s Hay Mazin’ Maze and climb aboard the Happy Hayride. Kids can also pick a mini pumpkin to decorate themselves, now through Oct. 20. Kids Trick or Treat Weekends are Sat. & Sun., Oct. 21 & 22, and Oct. 28 & 29.

Mays Landing Ghost Walk

Hamilton Historical Society’s 23rd Annual Ghost Walk returns in 2023. Tour groups will be led by a Storyteller Guide, with local history and spooky stories through historic downtown Mays Landing. With new stops and stories, this event is sure to be spooktacular fun. Tickets for the Ghost Walk are available online only via Eventbrite. This event will sell out. Historic Smithville Costume Pet Parade

Join Paw Dazzle for this year’s Halloween Pet Parade and watch costumed pets and their people parade around the Village Green and compete for prizes, including the $100 cash best-in-show prize. Plus raffles, Howl-A-Ween portraits, an autumn-themed photobooth, and more. Proceeds benefit Atlantic County Canines, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit saving senior and special needs animals in South Jersey. HSOC “Howl-O-Ween” Parade

Hosted by the Humane Society of Ocean City. Contestants are encouraged to dress themselves and their pooch in zany, fun Halloween costumes in the spirit of the season. Registration begins at 2 p.m. at the Sports & Civic Center at 6th St. The parade begins at 3 p.m. and the procession is from 6th – 14th Street on the Boardwalk. Somers Point Trunk or Treat

Tales of the Jersey Devil

Somers Mansion 1000 Shore Rd. Somers Point

Join local author Scott Macom around the campfire as he shares spooky Jersey Devil tales from his book, “Devil Leeds.” The talk will begin at 7 p.m. Arrive early for guided tours of Somers Mansion beginning at 5 p.m. Then get your lawn chairs and sit around the campfire, along with book signings after the event. Soft pretzels will be for sale. Admission is free.
