Fusion Church celebrated its fourth annual Operation Orange outreach this Back-to-School season, delivering love, encouragement, and practical support to school staff members across South Jersey and beyond.
Rooted in Fusion’s vision to “Love Like Crazy”, Operation Orange seeks to meet local needs with tangible acts of kindness. This year, through the generosity of the church community, over 50 team members came together to pack and deliver thousands of bright orange “Love Like Crazy” tote bags filled with classroom supplies, treats, and hand-written notes of encouragement.
This year was the biggest outreach initiative to date, reaching 20 schools across Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Gloucester Counties, as well as a partner school in Los Cocos, Dominican Republic—impacting 2,400 teachers, administrators, and support staff. This milestone marks nearly double the outreach impact since the initiative began just three years ago.
“In a time when there can often be division between faith communities and educational systems, we’ve seen how something as simple as a bag of supplies, a piece of candy, or a note of encouragement can open doors and remind people they are deeply loved,” said Heather Knoll, Outreach Director at Fusion Church. “In a season when there can often be anxiety, insecurity, and even fear before a new school year, Operation Orange continues to be a bridge of hope to let our educators and support staff know they are seen, valued, and appreciated for the sacrifices they make each day.”
Since its launch, Operation Orange has grown into a signature expression of Fusion Church’s commitment to community outreach, celebrating those in our school systems and helping them step into the new school year on a positive note.
