The 29th Annual East Coast Gaming Congress (ECGC), to be held April 14–15, 2026 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, will closely examine one of the most contested and fast-evolving challenges facing the global gaming industry: the rise of prediction markets.
A panel of experts at ECGC 2026 — the longest-running gaming conference in the United States — will explore the legal, regulatory, and commercial implications of expanding, regulating or shutting down prediction markets, including the impact of this controversial vertical on the existing gaming industry.
ECGC’s overall theme is “Gaming in Transition.” Conference co-founder and Spectrum Gaming Group Senior Policy Advisor Michael Pollock said, “Few issues better illustrate the industry’s current transformation than prediction markets. Examining this topic is central to gaming’s evolution and growth.”
Conference co-founder and CEO of Cooper Levenson, Lloyd D. Levenson noted, “The industry leaders on this panel fully understand the potential and problems of predictions markets. They know where prediction markets can go and should go.”
Confirmed speakers are:
- Roger Gros, Editor-at-Large, Global Gaming Business Magazine (moderator)
- Mike Dreitzer, Chair, Nevada Gaming Control Board
- Alex Kane, CEO and Founder, Sporttrade
- Joe Maloney, President, Sports Betting Alliance
- Eric Schippers, Sr. Vice President, Public Affairs & Govt. Relations, PENN Entertainment
A distinguished group of gaming CEOs and other leaders will deliver keynote addresses at ECGC. Additional speakers and panel topics will be announced in coming weeks.
The entire 2026 ECGC program will tackle key issues including artificial intelligence, prediction markets, iGaming expansion, and the anticipated impact following the development of full-service casino resorts in the Downstate New York market.
ECGC will also present its Lifetime Achievement Award to the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) in recognition of its longstanding commitment to the integrity and principles of gaming licensure.
Over nearly three decades, ECGC has welcomed an unmatched roster of speakers, including six sitting, former, and acting governors of New Jersey and every CEO who has led the American Gaming Association. The 2026 conference will again offer premier opportunities for sponsorship, networking, professional development, and high-level business-to-business engagement.
