Seashore Gardens Living Center welcomed the Glamour Girls from the Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT) for an afternoon of pampering and connection in October. Aspiring cosmetologists treated residents to manicures. The students also spent time with the residents, chatting and playing games.
Such intergenerational initiatives are invaluable for fostering social bonds and companionship. They offer a chance for seniors and teenagers alike to forge connections, find meaning, and learn from each other’s experiences. The ACIT visits offer students a chance to practice the skills that they are learning.
