The community is invited to join the fun at Beth Israel’s Chanukah celebration on Saturday, December 13, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 2501 Shore Road, Northfield, N.J. This year’s festivities will feature an unforgettable, hands-on experience — building and lighting a 12-foot menorah constructed from 100,000 LEGO® bricks.
The celebration kicks off at 3:30 p.m. with a Chanukah sing-along led by Cantor Marshall Portnoy, along with a mega grazing table and dreidel games for all ages. From 4 to 5:30 p.m., families and friends will come together to construct the giant menorah in partnership with Building Blocks Workshops, LLC, culminating in a spectacular menorah lighting. Following the build, attendees will enjoy a delicious salad bar, latke bar, and donut bar from5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The cost is $36 per family or $10 per individual for members, and $46 per family or $15 per individual for nonmembers. Each registration includes one LEGO® block (recommended for a group of four people); additional blocks are available for $10 each.
Space is limited to 50 families or groups. RSVPs are due by December 9. Payment serves as registration and can be made via Venmo @BINorthfield or at
