The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) has launched its sixth annual #GreatBigDiaperDrive which runs now through the first week of November. Spearheaded by the CFBNJ volunteer group Women Fighting Hunger, the drive seeks to end diaper need by helping the 1 in 2 families who struggle to afford diapers.
“Families often face the difficult choice between buying diapers and putting food on the table,” said Kathy Corbalis, South Jersey chair of Women Fighting Hunger. “In addition to the health risks for babies who are not kept clean and dry, a lack of diapers can prevent parents from working or attending school, as childcare providers require families to supply diapers for their children.” Individuals and organizations are invited to support the drive by making product or cash donations. The drive is collecting diapers, (all sizes, with most-needed sizes 4,5 and 6), baby wipes and creams, as well as adult incontinence products.
Donations can be dropped off at the CFBNJ’s Egg Harbor Township location, 6735 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Twp., during business hours at the front security desk.
