The Community FoodBank of New Jersey has launched its fifth annual #GreatBigDiaperDrive which runs now through the first week of November. Spearheaded by the CFBNJ volunteer group Women Fighting Hunger, the drive seeks to end diaper needs by helping the 1 in 2 families who struggle to afford diapers.“Families often must make the difficult choice of buying diapers or buying food,” said Kathy Corbalis, Women Fighting Hunger’s South Jersey chair. “In addition to the health consequences for babies who are not kept clean and dry, a lack of diapers can cause parents to miss work or school as they can’t send their baby to childcare without a supply of diapers.”Individuals and organizations are invited to support the drive by making product or cash donations. The drive is collecting diapers, (all sizes, with most-needed sizes 4, 5 and 6), baby wipes and creams, as well as adult incontinence products.Donations can be dropped off at the FoodBank, 6735 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Twp., during business hours at the front security desk. Cash donations are also welcome and can be made online at: https://tinyurl.com/4n26d486.If you miss the drive deadline, the FoodBank welcomes diaper donations year round.
