Cancer Center Medical Assistant Katina Johnson of Atlantic City is Shore Medical Center’s March Employee of the Month

For consistently delivering outstanding service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s mission, vision and values, Shore Cancer Center Medical Assistant Katina “Tina” Johnson, of Atlantic City, has been named Shore’s March Employee of the Month.

Johnson is a Medical Assistant in the Medical Oncology suite at Shore Cancer Center, where she supports physicians in facilitating safe, quality patient care.  Johnson has been at Shore Cancer Center for a little over one year. 

“Tina exemplifies the mission of Shore Medical Center and is a great asset to the Cancer Center. She is conscientious and works well with our entire team,” says Johnson’s colleague Andrea Pearson, outpatient service representative. “She has a quiet and calm demeanor, which is greatly appreciated by our patients who come in feeling sick or stressed. She strives to comfort and support them in any way needed.”

Pearson continued, “I have never seen Tina in anything but a good mood. She accepts every challenge with a positive attitude, keeping our department going and our team happy during challenging times.” 

Johnson’s supervisor, Vickie Riskie, MSN, RN, OCN, NE-BC, Nurse Manager of Medical Oncology and IV Infusion, says, “I am thrilled to see Katina recognized as Employee of the Month. Her dedication to our patients’ well-being and her support of our physicians and healthcare team is very much appreciated. Katina consistently goes above and beyond, embodying the compassionate spirit that defines our unit. We’re grateful to have her as part of our team.”
