This October, Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City Resorts are coming together in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, uniting Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City and Tropicana Atlantic City for a month-long series of fundraising efforts, awareness initiatives and community events supporting the fight against breast cancer.
Throughout the month, guests and Team Members across all three resorts will have opportunities to get involved through community events, health screenings, dining and entertainment give-back offerings and Team Member-led fundraisers. Adding to the honorary month, Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City leaders will be participating in the American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink campaign, with Caesars and Tropicana glowing pink on the skyline and Harrah’s Resort illuminating its Waterfront Walkway in support of the cause.
Last year, Caesars, Harrah’s Resort and Tropicana were recognized as the top three fundraising teams in the Greater Philadelphia area for the Men Wear Pink campaign. Tropicana led the way as the No. 1 regional fundraising team and earned national recognition as the No. 10 fundraising team in the country. Together, the three resorts raised more than $129,000 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Breast Cancer Awareness programming across the properties includes:
- Making Strides Against Breast Cancer: Caesars, Harrah’s Resort and Tropicana will serve as the Pink Chair Sponsor of the Making Strides Walk Against Breast Cancer in Ocean City, N.J., on Sunday, Oct. 11, with Team Members participating.
- Charity Golf Scramble: Caesars, Harrah’s Resort and Tropicana will host the second annual Swing for a Cause Charity Golf Scramble on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Blue Heron Pines Golf Course in Egg Harbor City. The event will bring together supporters for a day of golf, basket drawings, dinner and awards in support of the cause. To register, please contact Jim Marota at jmarota@harrahs.com.
- Men Wear Pink: Five leaders across Caesars, Harrah’s Resort and Tropicana will participate in the American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink campaign as they use the power of pink to raise awareness and funds for the organization through a variety of Team Member-led fundraising activities such as t-shirt and bake sales, prize drawings and more.
- Team Member Mammography Screenings: In partnership with the Atlantic Medical Imaging Foundation, mobile mammography screenings will be available to Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City Team Members, providing convenient access to an important breast health resource.
- Resorts Light up Pink: Some of the resorts’ most recognizable features will be illuminated in pink throughout October, including Tropicana Atlantic City’s Havana Tower cupola and fountains, Caesars Atlantic City’s fountains and parking garage, and Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City’s Waterfront Tower hallway.
- Dining & Nightlife: Seven Tropicana venues, including 10 North, Boogie Nights, Chelsea Five, il Verdi, Ossu Asian Tavern, Carmine’s and Cuba Libre, will donate $1 from every Tito’s Vodka cocktail sold, while Boogie Nights will donate $1 from every admission from September 10 – October 30.
- IMAX Theatre at Tropicana: Tropicana’s IMAX Theatre will donate $1 from every popcorn purchase from September 1 – October 31.
- Pink Ribbons: Guests can purchase and personalize $5 pink ribbons at il Verdi, Ossu Asian Tavern, Chelsea Five and 10 North Lounge, where they will be displayed at each venue’s bar throughout September and October.
- Casino Giving: Guests at all three resorts can donate their remaining coins to the American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink campaign when cashing out at NRT machines.
The company’s fundraising efforts kicked off in August at Tropicana Atlantic City with a Boardwalk dunk tank fundraiser, bringing together guests, Team Members and resort leaders which raised $850 for the American Cancer Society.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City Resorts’ ongoing commitment to supporting the local community while creating meaningful opportunities for guests, Team Members and resort leaders to come together in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
