A bold combination of jazz and contemporary music is set to be performed in Stockton University’s Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21.  

Brent Birckhead is an award-winning saxophonist and woodwind artist who, with his dynamic quartet, has performed with legends including Lauryn Hill, Nas and George Duke.  

Birckhead was praised by the New York Times as “one of the most riveting young improvisers in New York,” and his latest album, “Cacao,” explores identity and self-reclamation. He was named “Beat Alto Saxophonist” by Washington City Paper.

Tickets are $30 for the general public, $27 for senior citizens (65+) and military, $25 for Stockton alumni, $20 for Stockton faculty and staff, $18 for children 17 and under and $12 for Stockton students. This show is made possible through the Mid Atlantic Tours program of Mid Atlantic Arts with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
