Atlantic County government’s free transportation for mobile-dependent residents is expanding its reservation hours beginning Monday, February 10, 2025. Eligible residents may now contact the reservation clerks Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, excluding holidays.
Reservations can be made for transportation to/from life essential and life enhancing services 7 am to 6 pm weekdays for those 60 years and older, residents with disabilities, veterans traveling to medical appointments, and those who live in rural areas without transportation services.
County transportation services will not duplicate existing services, such as those which are available to residents of assisted living or other facilities.
Life essential services include: dialysis treatment, cancer treatments, medical and laboratory appointments, senior nutrition sites, grocery shopping, volunteer employment and/or education/job training, and prescribed physical and occupational therapy programs.
Life enhancing services include: social and recreational services, non-grocery shopping.
Advanced reservations are accepted for life essential services up to 7 days prior to travel and for life enhancing services up to 2 days prior to travel. Call (609) 645-5910, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm as of February 10. Until then, residents may call weekdays, 1 pm to 4 pm.
