The Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs has awarded $229,203 in competitive state grants to 32 local non-profit organizations to provide access to quality art and history experiences that will enhance the quality of life for county residents and visitors.

Twenty-seven non-profits were re-granted a total of $206,000 through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts for the Local Arts Program. They include: Art C South Jersey, Inc.; Atlantic City Arts Foundation; Atlantic City Ballet; Atlantic City Theatre Company; Atlantic Pops Community Band; Atlantic Youth Orchestra; Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation; Cygnus Creative Arts Centre, Inc.; Fool Moon Theatre; Hammonton Arts Center; Hammonton Revitalization Corporation; Minds Project; Historic Organ Restoration Committee; Music Fest of the Atlantic County Puerto Rican Parade; Midtown Atlantic City Development Corp; Mighty Writers; MudGirls Studios; Rutgers University – Department of American Studies; Somers Point Arts Commission; South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble; South Jersey Indian Association; South Jersey Jazz Society; South Jersey Players, Inc.; SPQR Stage Company; Stockton University – Murphy Writing; Collaborative of South Jersey d/b/a Gateway Playhouse; and Tony Mart Cares Inc.

Additionally, six non-profits were re-granted a total of $23,203 through the New Jersey State Historical Commission for the County History Partnership Program. They include: Galloway Township Historical Society; Greate Egg Harbor Township Historical Society; Historical Society of Hammonton; Midtown Atlantic City Development Corp; Port Republic Heritage Society; and Ventnor City Historical Society.
