ATLANTIC CITY — Eight members of the Atlantic City Fire Department were promoted during an Oct. 20 ceremony at City Hall.
Mayor Marty Small Sr. administered the oath of office to the newly promoted members.
Fire Captains Thomas C. Flanagan III and Dean M. Jones were promoted to battalion chief.
Firefighters Andrew J. McMeekin, Quintin D. Price, Keith J. Coursey Jr., Derrick Williams, Richard DiCioccio and Dane Nicholson were promoted to fire captain.
“I am honored and extremely proud of these eight members of the Atlantic City Fire Department receiving these well-deserved promotions,” Fire Chief Scott Evans said. “Their dedication to the job, the residents and Atlantic City’s public safety community makes our department proud to recognize them.”
The department congratulated the eight members as they assumed their new leadership responsibilities and continued serving Atlantic City residents.
