On Monday, February 12, 2024, during a Promotional Ceremony at City Hall Council Chambers, the Atlantic City Fire Department swore-in Manuel Branco and Michael Macready to battalion chief, and the following eight individuals to captain: Ismail Abdussamad, Neil Anderson, Andrew Biscieglia, Ryan Cooke, Stephen Kohler, Daniel Morgan, Anthony Santoro, John Varallo, Jr.
City of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, Sr. administered the oath of office.
With these promotions, the Atlantic City Fire Department now has seven battalion chiefs and 46 captains. The department has 36 recruits who are presently in, or about to begin training, bringing the total staff number for the department to 199 at this time.
