The Atlantic City Ballet presents the extraordinary classic, Sleeping Beauty, on Wednesday, April 15th at Caesars Circus Maximus Theater at 7pm.
On April 15, audiences will be swept away into a world of kings, queens, fairy godmothers, and storybook creatures. Set to Tchaikovsky’s fabulous and familiar score, and combined with Artistic Director Phyllis Papa’s stunning choreography, Sleeping Beauty is a timeless classic to be enjoyed with the entire family. With special appearances by fairy tale favorites like Puss-In-Boots, Little Red Riding Hood, and of course, that kiss from the handsome prince, Atlantic City Ballet’s Sleeping Beauty will create a memory to cherish happily ever after.
Sleeping Beauty is a timeless ballet based on the beloved fairy tale by Charles Perrault. It tells the story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed at birth by the wicked fairy Carabosse. The curse foretells that Aurora will prick her finger on a spindle and fall into a deep, unending sleep. However, the benevolent Lilac Fairy intervenes, softening the curse so that the princess will sleep for one hundred years, awaiting the kiss of true love to awaken her.
The lavish costumes, intricate set designs, and exquisitely gorgeous choreography are sure to transport audiences into the world of fairy tales. Don’t miss out on the chance to experience the pinnacle of classic romance that is Sleeping Beauty!
