The Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) held its 34th annual Earth Day Festival on Sunday, April 26. The event welcomed thousands to the Environmental Park in Egg Harbor Township for family-friendly activities, workshops, interactive displays and exhibits, including appearances from local businesses and organizations. The event provided a perfect opportunity for attendees and vendors alike to soak up the spring weather and experience earth in a vibrant outdoor setting.

Those touring the Recycling Center were treated to a recycled artwork display, along with demonstrations ranging from rain barrel making to hiking and outdoor safety and how to make sourdough bread. Musical troubadour Valerie Vaughn shared songs and stories about the native Pinelands, while artist and musician Steve Kuzma played original tunes honoring Earth Day. Even the ACUA’s own mascot, Supercan, was seen roaming the festival grounds to the delight of many in attendance.
