Most of the approximately 1,500 first-year Stockton University students moved into their residence halls Friday morning.
They are part of nearly 3,000 students who will live in university housing in Galloway Township and in Stockton’s two residence halls in Atlantic City during the fall 2024 semester.
Here are some other interesting facts about the 2024-25 first-year class:
- Nearly 85% of full-time, first-year students received institutional grants and/or scholarships totaling $17.3 million.
- The students come from 16 different states as far north as Maine and Michigan, as far west as California and Washington state and as far south as Florida and Texas.
- The first-year class also includes students from nine different countries.
- In the first-year class, 97 of the students are recruited athletes, including a soccer player from Canada and a field hockey player from Colorado.
- The top three majors for this class are Health Science (276), Business Administration (266) and Psychology (204).
- About 700 transfer students have also enrolled at Stockton this semester.
