The Ocean City community came together Tuesday evening for the city’s annual National Night Out at Carey Stadium on the campus of Ocean City High School.
Hundreds of residents enjoyed an evening of family-friendly activities, including bounce houses, inflatable attractions, fun runs, a dunk tank, demonstrations, food and giveaways. Members of the Ocean City Police and Fire departments interacted with families throughout the event while showcasing emergency vehicles, equipment and the latest public safety technology.
A highlight of the evening was a flyover and helicopter tours provided by the Cooper 1 and JeffSTAT medical helicopter teams, giving attendees an up-close look at emergency medical aviation. Families also enjoyed photo opportunities with popular superheroes, exhibits from local businesses and volunteer opportunities hosted by the Rotary Club.
National Night Out is held annually to strengthen relationships between law enforcement, first responders and the communities they serve while promoting public safety and neighborhood partnerships.
