This week’s cosmic momentum begins to build as we approach mid-July. Getting higher in the sky and leaving the dramatic Leo flames behind, Venus shifts into the zodiac sign Virgo on July 9. Venus begins processing and gets to service work immediately, as the journey through these early degrees is accompanied by support and integrated lessons from Chiron and a meetup with the south node of the moon (July 11). There’s personal and collective motivation in this energy for letting go or for a final, expertly executed excision of something that may be like a dead weight. We’ll reach the mid-point of the Mercury retrograde and begin a brand-new Mercury cycle on July 12 as Mercury reaches the heart of the sun in nurturing, yet protective Cancer. Something in our emotional caverns is surfacing and ready to become a new part of our mentality.
