Caesars Entertainment’s Atlantic City resorts, Caesars, Harrah’s Resort and Tropicana — united in the fight against breast cancer, raising $129,708 through the American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink campaign.
The trio of resorts ranked as the top three fundraising teams in the Greater Philadelphia area, a testament to the dedication and leadership of their Men Wear Pink ambassadors. Their efforts were spearheaded by Michael Kane, vice president of security at Caesars Atlantic City; Christopher Lee, executive chef, and David Getter, beverage operations manager at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City; and John Happersett, casino operations controller at Tropicana Atlantic City. Tropicana’s ambassador, John Happersett, was not only named No. 1 in the region for fundraising, but he also earned national recognition, placing No. 10 among all Men Wear Pink ambassadors across the country.
The ambassadors hosted a variety of fundraisers, including but not limited to, water ice and bake sales, prize drawings, a dunk tank event, a trash-to-treasure sale and a Charity Golf Scramble. Their creativity helped drive Team Member engagement and community support throughout the campaign.
“Our Team Members showed incredible passion in rallying support for this cause,” said Barron Fuller, Regional President, Caesars Entertainment. “From prize drawings to a large charity golf outing, their efforts helped raise critical funds for breast cancer awareness and research. We could not be prouder of their commitment and impact.”
Men Wear Pink empowers community leaders to raise money and awareness while wearing pink throughout October. Funds support the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate survivors and lead the fight for a world without breast cancer.
