More than 800 people enjoyed an afternoon of strolling through six breathtaking homes in Atlantic City, Longport, Margate, and Ventnor during the Jewish Family Service House Tour on August 4th. The event, presented by Surroundings Interiors, raised $120,000 to benefit The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore, a program which provides essential services including care coordination, transportation, grocery shopping, meal delivery, and social events for adults (50+). The House Tour, which started in the ‘80s, has showcased more than 215 spectacular residences and welcomed thousands of guests.

“Each year, the House Tour continues to exceed our expectations with the generosity of homeowners who open their homes for hundreds of attendees as well as the businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and staff who ensure a memorable experience,” said Andrea Steinberg, Chief Executive Officer of Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. “The funds raised will support programs and services for more than 200 older adults who reside throughout our region.”

“My late mother, Lynn Kramer, understood how vital JFS is to our community helping older adults remain independent and socially connected,” said Michele Kramer Sloane. “The Village meant so much to her and now me.”

With a mix of antique, eclectic, and modern décor, each home featured unique elements – from a clear tube elevator running through the center of the residence to nostalgic Mr. Peanut memorabilia and a fitness pole installed in a family room, guests enjoyed strolling through beachfront and custom-built homes.

House sponsors included C. Alexander Building & Maintenance, Coast Tile & Marble Supply, Deborah Foundation, Jules Portrait, Marketplace Realty, and The Novelli Team. Lucky raffle ticketholders won fabulous prizes including a Ring Trio donated by Roberts Fine Jewelers, Dine Around Town, and Margate Bridge Downbeach Express Pass. Guests also bid on more than 85 auction items including hotel stays, dining and dessert certificates, sporting and theater tickets, distinctive health & wellness products, jewelry, household accessories, family portrait, and designer handbags.
