25 Atlantic City Residents Among 33 Atlantic County Fire Academy Recruit Class of 2024 Graduates

This afternoon, 33 recruits graduated from the Atlantic County Fire Academy following twelve weeks of intense training at the Anthony ‘Tony’ Canale Fire Training Center in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. The ceremony was held at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in the Phillips Ballroom. Of the 33 recruits, 25 are Atlantic City residents, six are Pleasantville residents and two are Brigantine residents. The recruits will be assigned to their resident city.

Speakers during the ceremony included City of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, Sr., Atlantic City Fire Chief Scott Evans, State Monitor of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Richard Richardella, New Jersey Division of Fire Safety Director Richard Mikutsky, and Brigantine Fire Chief Paul Fuller. Atlantic City Deputy Fire Chief Thomas Culleny served as the emcee of the ceremony. Mayor Small administered the Oath of Office.

As part of the ceremony, the Recruit Class of 2024 were presented their badges, certificates and assignments.
