The Ocean City Theatre Company and the Ocean City Pops Orchestra will team up to present the musical “Grease” this summer, and tickets go on sale starting at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23.
Eight performances of the popular show are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the nights of August 6, 7, 9, 13, 14 and 15. Two matinees are scheduled for 2 p.m. on August 8 and 15.
‘Grease’ became the soundtrack of a generation with a movie, an eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, along with innumerable school and community productions. It ranks among the world’s most popular musicals and includes songs such as “Greased Lightnin’,” “It’s Raining on Prom Night,” “Alone at the Drive-In Movie” and “Summer Nights.”
Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for children ages 12 and under. All shows will be at the Ocean City High School Bill and Nancy Hughes Performing Arts Center (501 Atlantic Ave.).
