‘The Last Splash’ Pirate & Mermaid Ocean Awareness Festival on Saturday, Sept. 17 to Benefit Absecon Lighthouse & Marine Mammal Stranding Center

Absecon Lighthouse, New Jersey’s tallest and the country’s third tallest masonry light, will be partnering with the Marine Mammal Stranding Center and Sea Goddess Healing Arts to present “The Last Splash” Mermaid & Pirate Festival to raise Ocean Awareness on Saturday, September 17, from 12pm to 6pm, with a rain date of Saturday, September 24.  The Ocean is part of our home and it’s important we continue to take better care of it.  This is a joint fundraiser to benefit Absecon Lighthouse and the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, both beacons of light in our region to save history and marine life.  Pack a picnic & stay for the day!  We invite you to join us for a day of celebrations, awareness, education, inspiration and community!  There will be music, vendors, workshops, a treasure hunt, kids activities, a costume contest and more!  This event is FREE to attend, but we do hope visitors will be inspired to donate to help preserve historic Absecon Lighthouse and support the mission of the Marine Mammal Stranding Center.

Various fundraising sponsorships are available for the “The Last Splash” Festival and can be viewed at www.abseconlighthouse.org, along with vendor applications and instructions. For information on becoming a vendor, please contact seagoddesshealingarts@gmail.com or visit www.abseconlighthouse.org
