In 1990, Jerry joined Harry Connick Jr.’s newly formed big band and Jerry was seen daily as part of the “house band” on HARRY, Connick’s daytime variety show which aired from 2016-2018. Following his gig here with the Arts Center, Jerry will be heading out on November 18  on Harry Connick’s A Holiday Celebration tour through December 24.   Jerry can also regularly be found gigging, both as a leader and a sideman, at clubs in the New York area…and beyond.

Hear Here!, Ocean City Arts Center’s listening room is dedicated to the concept of social listening and learning.  The audience is normally encouraged to participate by bringing music from their personal collections to share and compare as well as discuss the music genre and theme for the event. A full range of musical discoveries for all ages can flourish through significant live and recorded audio experiences that individuals and other institutions cannot replicate. This program offers an alternative to the self-isolation that current technologies have fostered. Music, a cornerstone of civilization and socialization, provides a framework for communication more universal than speech or writing. Music contributes significantly to cultural understanding and growth.
