This Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles are heading to New Orleans to face off against the Kansas City Chiefs again. In 2023, the two teams played against each other and the Philly team lost, but this year is different. The last—and only—time they won the Super Bowl was in 2018 and the pride felt in the area was unmatched.
Most South Jerseyans are Philly sports fans and are pretty loud about it. Whether you’re cheering from home, attending a watch party or heading to the big game, here are 10 creative ways to showcase your team spirit.
- Deck out your home with Eagles gear.
Hang up green and silver banners, toss a few football-shaped pillows on the couch and display your Eagles memorabilia—whether it’s jerseys, signed footballs or vintage photos. You can even decorate your front yard with Eagles flags and signs to spread the spirit to your neighbors!
- Throw a watch party.
Get your friends and family together to watch the big game. Whether it’s a cozy gathering or a big bash, make it all about the Birds. Have green-and-white snacks (check out #6), encourage everyone to wear their best Eagles gear and create a game day playlist. Don’t forget to sing “Fly, Eagles, Fly!”
- Paint your face.
There’s nothing more visible than showing up with your face painted in Eagles green! Whether it’s a small stripe or a full-on Eagle design, face paint is a fantastic way to showcase your team spirit.
- Organize a pep rally.

Show your team spirit by painting your nails green and white. If you want to go a step further, add the team’s logos or footballs!
- Go to the game (or tailgate like you’re there!)
If you’re lucky enough to attend the Super Bowl, get ready to represent your team loud and proud in the stadium! But if you’re staying home like the majority, create the ultimate tailgate experience in your own backyard. Fire up the grill, set up a tent and play tailgate games like cornhole.
- Add some green to your hair.
Want to add another spirited flair to your game ensemble, add some green to your hair with hair chalk or temporary hair color spray! Just make sure to wash your hair before Monday so you don’t go to school or work with green hair (unless you’re OK with that).

If you’re feeling crafty, try customizing your own Eagles gear! You can personalize a jersey with your name or favorite player’s name, or design your own T-shirt with a fun slogan or logo. It’s a great way to stand out and represent the team in your own unique way.
