Tammy Thornton

Tammy Thornton, aka The Shore Local Gardener, has been writing a gardening column for Shore Local News since 2018. She combines her passion for gardening with her love of creating gourmet meals for her friends and family. Growing up planting corn with her dad and canning tomatoes with her mom, gardening has been part of her joy from the start. Tammy loves learning about the lives of those around her and enjoys helping them tell their stories in print. When she isn’t working on beautifying her garden, Tammy can be found on the beach immersed in a good book. If you would like to share your story or have a gardening question, drop her a line at: shorelocalgardener@gmail.com.
