Spring Concert Highlights Stockton University Dance Program

The Spring Dance Concert is one of the many traditions of the Stockton University Dance program that highlights its gifted artists. The concert will be performed three times — Thursday, Feb. 29, Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

Reviving an excerpt from Dr. Kariamu Welsh’s masterwork “Anthem,” Umfundalai X producer Saleana Pettaway will carry on Welsh’s Umfundalai tradition by reconstructing dances from Welsh’s repertory and organizing the work of the next generation of artists.

Collaborative team Albert Quesada and Katie Vickers will test the Stockton Dance Company members with driving, sweeping physicality. These internationally recognized guest artists join resident choreographers Beau Hancock, Caitlin Pittenger, Rain Ross and Lauren White. This diverse program promises to be a moving evening.

Tickets for the general public are $12. Tickets for senior citizens (65+), children under 12 and those affiliated with Stockton University (students, staff, faculty and alumni) are $10.
