Seashore Gardens seniors celebrate High Holidays

Residents at Seashore Gardens Living Center celebrated the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, and the reflective and solemn observance of Yom Kippur. They attended live-stream services from the Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City, in some cases joined by their family members. They also heard the traditional sounding of the Shofar.

For many residents, participating in these observances helps them stay connected to their cultural roots and maintain a sense of belonging. Observing Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in a communal setting also fosters a sense of community and connection, which can be particularly meaningful for seniors.
