Seashore Gardens Foundation Announces New Name: Mosaic

The Seashore Gardens Foundation, a trusted advocate for elder care support, has a new name: Mosaic—an acronym for Meaningful Outreach & Support for Aging Individuals & Caregivers.

The name Mosaic reflects the Foundation’s vision of bringing together diverse elements—programs, resources, and services—into a unified effort to enrich the lives of seniors and caregivers. This rebranding highlights the Foundation’s expanded mission to enhance the quality of life for seniors across southern New Jersey, continuing its legacy of compassionate care while embracing new opportunities to serve the community.

“Mosaic represents how individual elements can come together to create something powerful,” said Jason Goldstein, president of the board. “It reflects our commitment to addressing the diverse needs of today’s seniors and caregivers with unity and purpose.”

The Foundation, originally established to support Seashore Gardens Living Center, will continue to provide essential resources that improve the well-being of seniors. Its impact spans beyond residential care, fostering connections with families, caregivers, and the wider community to ensure that seniors have access to comprehensive care and support services.

Rooted in over a century of care, the Foundation has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of the elderly. As a nonprofit organization, the Foundation plays a crucial role in funding programs and services that support seniors, particularly those affected by Alzheimer’s, dementia, and their caregivers. The new name, Mosaic, underscores its broadened focus and five pillars of support: Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Family and Caregiver Support, Community Connection and Coordination, Education, and Programs and Services.

Mosaic’s name also has historical significance, deriving from the Latin mosaicus, which means “of the Muses” or “pertaining to the Muses,” with roots in Greek and Hebrew. This rich heritage complements the Foundation’s mission, guided by the Jewish tradition of compassion and charity.
