R and J Farm, located on W. Herschel Street in Egg Harbor City, is a family-owned destination that offers a variety of activities for those looking to enjoy the fall season.
The farm provides a range of experiences suitable for visitors of all ages, making it a popular spot for families.
One of the main attractions is the corn maze, which features over a mile of twisting trails. Guests can challenge themselves to navigate through the maze while searching for hidden signs. For those who may need assistance, a friendly staff member known as the “corn cop” is available to provide guidance.
The corn maze is perfect for school trips, birthday parties or community gatherings, according to R and J’s website.
Visitors can also take a scenic hayride to the pumpkin patch. This leisurely ride on hay wagons allows families to relax and appreciate the autumn scenery.
Once they arrive at the pumpkin patch, guests can hunt for their perfect pumpkin at no extra cost. Families can bring their pumpkins home to paint or carve for another fall activity.
This year, R and J Farm introduced a large jumping pad, measuring 30 by 70 feet. This air-filled pillow is perfect for guests looking to burn off some energy and promises plenty of fun and laughter for all ages, according to the farm’s website. However, visitors are reminded to avoid performing somersaults or flips while jumping.
The farm also has a snack shack that serves hot food, chips, candy and drinks. On weekends, visitors can enjoy treats from Taylor Made Treats, a food truck that offers ice cream sandwiches.
For those wanting to add seasonal charm to their homes, the farm’s pumpkin stand pavilion offers a selection of fall decorations, including vibrant mums, cornstalks and gourds.
When the holiday season approaches, R and J Farm will offer Christmas trees, which can be tagged starting on Black Friday. Visitors can tag their preferred trees while enjoying complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.
R and J Farm is also available for private events. The farm’s party tent can accommodate groups of up to 70 people, making it an ideal spot for birthday celebrations, picnics or school outings.
For $325, visitors will get 15 combination tickets for activities and access to the tent for two and a half hours. Guests who are hosting are encouraged to arrive early for setup and decoration.
Operating hours for the fall season are Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekdays from 12 to 6 p.m. The last day for fall activities is set for Nov. 3, so families are encouraged to plan their visits accordingly.
Tickets for each individual attraction remain under $10, while a combination ticket for all three is $20. To ensure a smooth experience, advance reservations for group activities are highly recommended.
