800 Shore Road in Somers Point has always been a place where friends meet. First as Sooy’s Ice Cream Shop, then Oscar Nichols, Eliason’s General Store and Gerety’s Market. It finally became Charlie’s Bar in 1944. The building also housed the Somers Point Post Office in the early 1900’s.
