TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY, JANUARY 12
All-session tickets will go on sale beginning at noon on Friday, January 12th for the NJSIAA/Rothman Orthopaedics Wrestling Championships, which will again be held at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
Competition will run from Thursday, February 29, starting at 10 a.m. through Saturday, March 2.
All-session tickets are priced at $60 (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale through Ticketmaster.com, the Boardwalk Hall Box Office, or by phone (609.348.7512) beginning at noon on January 12th.
Single-session reserved tickets are $25 (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale at noon on Monday, January 29.
“NJSIAA is excited that the entirety of both the boys and girls individual wrestling state championships will be held together at Boardwalk Hall this year,” said Colleen Maguire, Executive Director of the NJ State Interscholastic Athletic Association. “New to this year, the addition of 144 girls wrestlers to the event necessitates the need to start earlier on Thursday and will result in three consecutive long days of continuous wrestling – there will be no session breaks during each day. The increased ticket pricing reflects the increasing costs to host this event, especially due to the expansion of the tournament this year.”
Group sales for all-session tickets will be available for orders consisting of a minimum of 10 tickets per order. Requested seating is not guaranteed. A $5 service charge per session will be added to group sales purchases. Group tickets can be purchased by calling 609.348.7023 or emailing Rachel.Matteson@oakviewgroup.com.
Senior citizens (65 or older), children (2-12) and students with a valid grade school or high school ID are eligible for a $10 single-session ticket (plus applicable fees) beginning on Thursday, February, 29. These will be available through the weekend of the event. These discounts are available ONLY at the Boardwalk Hall Box Office with a valid ID.
The wrestling in Atlantic City is the culmination of an event that began with district competition leading into the region tournaments over the prior two weeks.
