Local Swimmers Compete in National Championship

Charles Schreiner, Coach Brian Elko, Dylan Dewitt, and Zach Vasser competed in the 7.5K swim Junior National Open Water Championship. Joey Tepper and Maggie Wallace (not pictured) competed in the 10K National Open Water Championship.

The local swim team, EHT Seahawks, was well represented recently at the Junior National Open Water Championships held in Fort Myers, Florida, April 1-3, 2022. Four Seahawks participated in the competition. Freshman at Atlantic City High School, Lauren Fox, competed in the 5K on Saturday, April 2. Junior, Zach Vasser (Mainland HS) and Sophomores, Dylan Dewitt and Charles Schreiner (Egg Harbor Township High School) competed in the 7.5K on Sunday, April 3. Additionally, two former Seahawks also competed in the National Open Water Championships during the weekend. Maggie Wallace, Senior at Indiana University (Ocean City HS) and Joey Tepper, Sophomore at University of Tennessee (Egg Harbor Twp HS) both competed in the 10K and 5K. Joey secured a spot on the Open Water National Team with his top 6 finish. Congratulations to all!
