The Public Relations Council of Greater Atlantic City will present representatives from Visit Atlantic City’s public relations agency at their monthly luncheon Tuesday, Feb. 25. The reps from MMGY, an integrated marketing agency, which also handles Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, will outline how they leverage Atlantic City’s brand to promote the destination.
The luncheon, open to the public, runs from 11:45 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. at the Atlantic City Convention Center (Room 319). MMGY ‘s Lauren Kaufman, Managing Director, and Lea Komitzky, Account Director, are featured speakers. Among other topics, they will talk about the media landscape and PR trends; creating experiential events to draw coverage of Atlantic City; leveraging social media to engage potential visitors; and creating partnerships with local businesses for joint media hosting.

Lauren Kaufman, Managing Director, PR
As Managing Director of MMGY, Lauren leads the agency’s day-to-day operations, staff development and new business initiatives, in addition to managing strategy and brand positioning for her clients. In her 25 years in the industry, she is worked with many major travel agency and hospitality brands, including InsightCuba, Visit Atlantic City, the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Oceania Cruises, the Algonquin, New York Marriott Marquis, and the Harley-Davidson Museum.
The Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude Bachelor of Arts graduate of Binghamton University has brought home five Platinum Adrian Awards from the Hospitality Sales Marketing Association International.
Lea Komitzky, Senior Account Director, PR

Lea has more than a decade of experience working with a diverse set of clients in the travel, tourism and lifestyle/entertainment space, both in Las Vegas and New York City. In her current role she oversees day-to-day operations serving as account lead for several destination and hotel clients including Visit Atlantic City, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, I LOVE NY, Fort Myers – Islands, Beaches & Neighborhoods, North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, among others.
A Philadelphia native, Lea graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She grew up traveling to the Jersey Shore every summer and always looks for her chance to visit each year.
