Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties has tripled the size of its existing food pantry and added perishable products, fresh produce, vegetables, meats, poultry and protein rich foods. The modified JFS Pantry also includes two wings with a complete Family Pantry catering to children age five and younger with diapers, wipes, formula, rice cereal and other necessities. This year, JFS anticipates distributing over 100,000 pounds of food to individuals and families in the county as the need continues to rise due to the unprecedented economic environment. The Grand Opening of the pantry was held August 12th.
Jewish Family Service staff provided tours to guests who attended the agency’s expanded food pantry grand opening on August 12. In 2021, JFS will distribute more than 100,000 pounds of food to community residents in need including non-perishable staples such as peanut butter, jelly, mac-n-cheese, rice, cereal, tuna and more.

Jewish Family Service Chief Impact Officer Laura Rodgers spoke to the crowd about how food insecurity in our region has exponentially increased since the onset of the pandemic. In 2020, JFS’ Food Pantry fed 7,335 people including 2,487 children and the need continues to rise. JFS anticipates distributing more than 100,000 pound of food to individuals and families in 2021. 
Invited guests strolled through the JFS boardroom which housed food displays showcasing the volume of products distributed to residents in need in our community. The JFS Pantry is proud to help everyone who contacts the agency looking for food. With the expanded pantry, individuals and families can enjoy fresh fruit, vegetables, poultry, meats, frozen foods and more. In 2021, JFS expects to distribute 100,000 pounds of food to residents in the county.
