ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) — A South Jersey woman’s win on a slot machine in Atlantic City is being called into question.
She turned to our investigative team for answers after she says the casino refused to pay the jackpot.
Bally’s Casino and the gaming company, International Game Technology, are disputing the alleged seven-figure windfall and told her the win was a technical glitch.

In 1941, there were laws to enforce the length of swimsuits, often prohibiting anything shorter than six inches above the knee. Swimsuit police were employed to make sure swimmers didn't break the rules, and if they found a woman with a swimsuit that was too short, she was either sent home to change or forced to cover up. This photo was taken in Ventnor City.

On this day in 1998, Frank Sinatra died from a heart attack at the age of 82.
Sinatra said he felt like he was home in Atlantic City. While performing in Atlantic City, he stayed in Brigantine.
Frank Sinatra got plenty of love from Atlantic City audiences throughout his career, and he returned the affection.
During the 1930s and '40s, he sang in the Harry James and Tommy Dorsey big bands at Steel Pier. As a solo artist, Sinatra made a home at the legendary 500 Club during the 1950s and early '60s.
Atlantic City always stood by Sinatra, and the icon stood up for the resort, including performing a benefit concert at Boardwalk Hall in 1978 for Atlantic City Medical Center, now AtlantiCare. The following year, he started a 25-year run performing in the city's casinos, starting at Resorts Casino Hotel and ending at the Sands.
AtlantiCare Foundation Board, including Brigantine's Lori Herndon, president and CEO, co-chaired the 1978 Frank Sinatra benefit concert and attended the naming of the Frank Sinatra Wing at the hospital’s Atlantic City Campus in 1979.

I'm a friend of the seagulls! I love them and love seeing them on the beach. It's so sweet when they walk right up to us.
I live in OC and love to sit at the MacDonalds and drop a couple of fries out my window next to a car with Philly tags! Why? I love to hear them screaming at the top of their lungs-OMG! Not at me, but because they are scared of so many seagulls! Then I will drop one on my front hood! Now your talking big time with about 10 gulls on my windshield and hood, and the Philly cars are now laughing!
I’m not either. I don’t tempt them by eating in front of them lol

The Ocean City Boardwalk will host a new automobile event this weekend as it welcomes the first annual Roadster Rally on Saturday, May 11. A variety of roadster makes and models will be on display from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the Boardwalk from 6th Street to 14th Street.

East Coast Falcons was hired by Ocean City back in 2019 to ward laughing gulls away from popular tourist locations in the boardwalk and downtown sections of town. This came after a string of incidents surrounding aggressive seagull activity.

Chickens, horses, goats, oh my! The rain held out most of the day for Funny Farm’s annual Spring Festival, where attendees were able to visit and feed 750 animals and check out about 50 vendors! This is Funny Farm Rescue’s most important fundraiser of the year to raise money for animal feed and vet care. Feed alone is $10,000 a month for the animal sanctuary.

Over 400 3rd graders from EHT Schools took a field trip to ACUA earlier this week. The students visited the top of the landfill, viewing the trash and wastewater treatment facility, learning what happens to all of the water that goes down the drain and toilet. The students also learned what they can do to help protect the environment.🌎

1970 wasn’t really Lucy’s “early days”, she was already 88 years old by then! (Wiki says she was built in 1882)
I remember her like that in 1970. I was 6 and it made me so sad to see her like this. I did visit her when she got restored. Wow, what a difference ! I am so glad they saved Lucy!

Such a Great Event, and we couldn't ask for a better day to celebrate Earth Day. I was surprised to see how many people threw there trash on the ground though. That was upsetting. Other than that, it was an awesome day.
