Ideal Institute of Technology Participates in Jobs Program Through Stockton University

Nearly $1 Million Dollar Grant Expands Program

Ideal Institute of Technology is one of three organizations partnering with Stockton University as it expands on its work helping recovery court graduates get scholarships, training and jobs after being placed on probation thanks to a new, nearly $1 million dollar grant from the state Department of Labor. With the grant, Stockton is spearheading the creation of a one-year pilot program called SJ-JOBS for 200 probationers in Atlantic and Cape May Counties.

As partners, Ideal will prepare recovery court graduates with job training in three fields — hospitality, construction trades and technology programs, while Jewish Family Services of Atlantic County focuses on mental health training, and Atlantic County Workforce Development Board focuses on recruitment assistance.

“At Ideal Institute of Technology, we’re committed to bettering our community,” says Ren Parikh, Founder of Ideal Institute of Technology. “And that means everyone in our community, including those who are most at-risk. Education has a massive impact on lowering crime rates and recidivism, but with it, students realize they have potential. They have a future. That we believe in them.”

Ideal Institute of Technology has already seen success with former prisoners turned into professionals; the partnership with Stockton University opens their program up to a broader audience.

“The partnership with Stockton University has the potential to make a huge difference in a lot of lives,” says Parikh.
