The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company’s High School Junior Company proudly presents Cole Porter’s toe-tapping Broadway masterpiece, “Anything Goes,” on July 26 and 27 at the Ocean City Music Pier. Under the direction of Hannah Breed, Brinley Edwards and Francesca Merlino, over 30 talented musical theatre high school students are ready to set sail and display their talents as they perform this Tony Award-winning Broadway show.
Music, dance, laughs and the age-old tale of boy meets girl… “Anything Goes” is delightful, delicious and de-lovely. This 2022 revision has twice as much dance music as the 1962 version and includes the hits “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “You’re the Top,” “Friendship,” “It’s De-Lovely” and the title song, along with “Easy to Love,” “Goodbye, Little Dream, Goodbye” and “Buddie, Beware.” This hilarious “de-lovely” cult-classic musical will surely delight audiences of all ages at the Ocean City Music Pier on July 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. with tickets on sale at oceancitytheatrecompany.com.

When Billy Crocker learns his love interest, Hope, is onboard the S.S. American, he stows away to try and win her back, not knowing that Hope is heading to England to marry the very wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Meanwhile, Billy’s friend, evangelist-turned-nightclub singer Reno Sweeney, sets her sights upon Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. To remain on board the ship, Billy borrows an unused ticket and passport from incognito gangster Moonface Martin, a.k.a Public Enemy Number 13. Will Billy get Hope? Will Reno get Lord Evelyn? Will Billy be taken into custody, along with Moonface? This madcap romantic comedy is filled with music, dance, mistaken identities, and hilarity.
