Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City Celebrates the Holiday Season with “12 Days of Giving” Initiative Donating $100,000 to Local Organizations

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City celebrated the holiday season with its “12 days of Giving” campaign with the resort gifting $100,000 to local organizations. Organizations who received generous donations include Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Salvation Army, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Veterans Haven South, ARC of Atlantic County, Atlantic City Leaders in Training (LIT), AC Rescue Mission, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Live to Serve, Atlantic County Toys for Tots, and the Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation. Hard Rock Atlantic City has donated to more than 500 charities since opening in 2018.

Community Food Bank of New Jersey: Operation Help

The resort kicked off the campaign on Wednesday, Nov. 21, by hosting an event for the Operation Help campaign benefitting the Community Food Bank of New Jersey with Longport Media. Along with Sean Patrick from 103.7 WMGM, the resort accepted food donations in exchange for tickets to a drawing to win several prizes, including Hard Rock Atlantic City concert tickets. At the conclusion of the event, Hard Rock Atlantic City President George Goldhoff and General Manager Michael Sampson presented a $10,000 donation to the Community Food Bank to support much-needed meals for food-insecure families in South Jersey.

Salvation Army

Hard Rock Atlantic City partnered with Atlantic City Salvation Army for their 2023 Thanksgiving holiday meal on Wednesday, Nov. 21, with the resort providing meal supplies and a team of Hard Rock Atlantic City volunteers helping to serve the traditional holiday meal.

 

Deck the Hall Festival of Trees for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates of Atlantic, Cape May and Camden Counties)

Hard Rock Atlantic City participated in the seventh annual Deck the Hall Festival of Trees to support CASA. This event displays sponsor-decorated Christmas trees throughout December at Atlantic City’s famous Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.

 

Holidays with Heroes with Police Activities League of Egg Harbor Township & Atlantic County

Hard Rock Atlantic City sponsored the 13th Annual Holiday with Heroes on Saturday, Dec. 2. Alongside the Police Activities League of Egg Harbor Township & Atlantic County, 150 local children and families in need were treated to a holiday shopping experience Hard Rock Atlantic City volunteers served breakfast to children before their shopping experience. Children were also treated to an exciting parade of emergency service and military vehicles while being escorted to their shopping destination.

Veterans Haven South

On Monday, Dec. 11, Hard Rock Atlantic City donated $25,000 to Veterans Haven South in Winslow Township, N.J., as part of its ongoing commitment to the organization. The donation will help to provide the services needed to support local veterans, while also demonstrating gratitude to veterans for their sacrifice and dedication to our country.

 

ARC of Atlantic County Adopt-A-Family Program

The resort presented gifts on Tuesday, Dec. 12, to 13 adopted families and provided holiday wish list items to children and adults who receive services from the ARC of Atlantic County.

The Atlantic City Leaders in Training (LIT)

On Wednesday, Dec. 13, Hard Rock Atlantic City President George Goldhoff and General Manager Michael Sampson presented LIT President Ambrose Gray with a $20,000 check to support Atlantic City LIT, which empowers youth in Atlantic City by helping them learn career and life development tools.

 

Atlantic City Rescue Mission

Atlantic City Rescue Mission president, Dan Brown was presented with a $25,000 check on Friday. Dec. 15, to assist with their goal in providing basic needs to those experiencing homelessness in Atlantic City.  The AC Rescue Mission is the largest provider of services for the homeless in southern New Jersey and relies heavily on donations to meet the physical and emotional needs of the poor and those who are struggling with addiction. This donation will help to develop vital programs to assist these individuals in getting back on their feet while also providing them with safe shelter and basic human needs.

 

Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation

On Friday, Dec. 15, the resort presented a $5,000 donation to Henrietta Shelton, Founder of Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation to benefit the organization’s Jazz Institute. The Foundation is a nonprofit formed and titled in homage to the historical segregation of African Americans on Atlantic City’s world-famous beaches.

 

St Christopher’s Hospital for Children

On Monday, Dec. 18, Hard Rock Atlantic City made a special delivery alongside Mr. and Mrs. Clause to St Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. In partnership with Kelly’s Kidz, hundreds of toys and clothing items collected throughout the season were donated to children and their families receiving treatments at the hospital.

Live to Serve Toy Drive

On Tuesday, Dec. 19, Hard Rock Atlantic City donated toys to Live to Serve, an Atlantic City-based nonprofit assisting single mothers in Atlantic City. In addition to gifts for the children, the resort provided gift cards to the mothers within the organization to help with holiday expenses.

Atlantic County Toys for Kids Toy Drive

Hard Rock Atlantic City continued its annual partnership with the Atlantic County Toys for Kids program. On Tuesday, Dec. 19, toys collected throughout the holiday season were donated to Atlantic County Toys for Kids to be distributed to children at local hospitals.
