The Mayor was joined by his wife Michele Gillian and other family members, including their children and grandchildren comprising three generations of local residents. A fourth generation includes former Ocean City Mayor Roy Gillian, who sent his best wishes for his son’s campaign.

Governing under the overriding principle of “Unity in the Community”, Gillian has served as Mayor of Ocean City since July 1, 2010. He has led Ocean City through a period of unprecedented infrastructure and facility improvements while maintaining and improving all essential City services and strong and stable municipal finances.

Gillian’s objectives for a new term include an aggressive plan to address flood mitigation efforts island wide; an aggressive program to continue to improve and repair roads and alleys; a continued effort to improve and maintain the beach, boardwalk, bay and downtown; provide and add services and amenities to serve residents, taxpayers, seniors, youth, veterans, faith-based organizations and all of the diverse people that comprise our community.

Mayor Gillian vows to preserve Ocean City’s well-deserved reputation as “America’s Greatest Family Resort”. He will work to keep Ocean City non-partisan and alcohol free. He will continue to work with City Council, other levels of government and the community toward these objectives.
