Galloway Welcomes New Gym

Atilis Gym acquires former Tilton Fitness location

By Cindy Christy Fertsch

Many Galloway residents were overjoyed to see Atilis Gym take over the former Tilton Fitness location. With a population of approximately 40,000 and only a handful of fitness centers in the area, Atilis Gym Galloway is a much welcomed staple in the community.

The owner of Atilis Gym Galloway, Cody Lambert, is no stranger to running fitness centers. In fact, he grew up in a family business centered around it. Cody’s father, Chris Lambert owned and operated gyms all of Cody’s life. Beginning with Atilis Gym in Wildwood, which expanded to include four other locations as well. Cody Lambert, now a college graduate and homeowner in Galloway, owns and operates the Sea Isle and Galloway Atilis.

What is the first thing Lambert did upon taking over ownership of the fitness center? He dropped the membership fee and eliminated contracts. Atilis also has additional discounts available for veterans and students.

“We want to let people know that we are here for everyone – senior citizens, bodybuilders, soccer moms and student athletes, said Lambert. “We hope to grow memberships and continually improve and offer more.”

Atilis Gym Galloway is massive in size, with 36,000 square feet, three floors, two studios, childcare services, and a smoothie bar. Group fitness classes are coming, beginning February 5th and headed up by the well reputed Star-Fit Club.

What is the secret to Atilis Gym’s success? “It’s customer service treating people with respect, like part of the family,” shares Lambert. “We love to see people enjoying the gym, and accomplishing their goals.”

Pete Thompson, who frequents Atilis Gym Galloway recently described his experience, “I was super excited when I saw that Atilis was opening up at the old Tilton Fitness in Galloway. The building is a crown jewel as it boasts three levels of workout space. I mostly do cardio on the first floor, but am sure I will get up and throw some weight around on the second floor soon. The staff is extremely friendly, the cost is about a buck a day, you really can’t beat it!”

In a year that we have seen many gyms shutting their doors, Atilis Gym continues to grow and expand. Whether it is customer service, the family infrastructure, pricing point or their no contracts policy, Atilis Gym seems to have what people are looking for.
