G. Larry James Bike Ride Raises $25,000 For Stockton Students

About 110 riders rolled out Saturday morning from the Stockton University Galloway campus for the 16th annual G. Larry James Legacy Bike Ride.

The ride featured three distances – 12, 30 and 62 miles – on routes through the Pine Barrens near Stockton’s campus. It’s named after James, Stockton’s former Dean of Athletics and track and field coach and a 1968 Olympic gold medalist.

This year’s event raised roughly $25,000 for the G. Larry James Legacy Fund, which benefits deserving Stockton students. In the 16-year history of the bike ride, more than $320,000 has been raised for the fund.
