On Friday Sep. 9, Love, Tito’s Block to Block teamed up with Funny Farm Rescue & Sanctuary to makeover their farm, focusing on growing produce sold to the community with 100% of proceeds going back towards feeding the animals and generating revenue for their charity. Volunteers worked to construct a brand new greenhouse and build out additional growing spaces so they can cultivate produce all year long. Additionally, they harvested late summer produce, got the farm ready for the next growing season, and began to plant for the fall.
Thanks to the support of Tito’s Handmade Vodka and their community garden and farm program, the nonprofit was able to triple the size of their farm, build two greenhouses, and grow more produce for the animals and community.
Funny Farm Rescue provides over 600 animals with food, shelter, medical care, and love, as well as a permanent, safe, and healthy environment for the rest of their natural lives. Beyond their work with unwanted animals, the nonprofit has a functional farm spanning several acres of their 25-acre location, which is focused on growing produce sold to the community with 100% of proceeds going back towards feeding the animals and generating revenue for their charity
