LOVE LETTERS, one of A.R. Gurney’s most beloved plays, is a tender, heart-breaking comedy that examines shared nostalgia, missed opportunities, and deep closeness of two lifelong, complicated friends. Andrew Ladd and Melissa Gardner exchange letters, but not marriage vows, in a warm and complicated friendship lasting 50 years.

Mark Sarto and Rosanna Consalvo Sarto star as the star-crossed lovers. Both are local favorites with extensive theatrical careers. “Fool Moon Theatre is thrilled to have two exceptional actors open up our season,” said director Paul Herron. “LOVE LETTERS will be a revelation to those who haven’t seen it and a visit from an old friend for those who have.”

Rosanna Consalvo Sarto (Melissa Gardner), recently seen in Fool Moon Theatre’s THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, was born and raised in the Atlantic City area, a graduate of Holy Spirit High School, and holds a BFA in Acting from University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She has performed and directed extensively off Broadway, regionally and nationally, including HELLO DOLLY, 42ND STREET, BYE BYE BIRDIE, and RUMORS where she received a best actress nomination for an ACT award.

Mark Sarto (Andrew Makepeace Ladd III), last seen in Fool Moon Theatre’s GODSPELL and the CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA, has extensive experience on the stage and screen. His theater experience includes DAMES AT SEA, MAN OF LA MANCHA, GREATER TUNA, THE FANTASTICKS, CABARET, and THE MUSIC MAN. On television Mark has been seen on Nickelodeon, NBC, HBO, MTV, VH1, Comedy Channel and Late Night with David Letterman.

Fool Moon Theatre’s next production will be the zany A BAD YEAR FOR TOMATOES opening May 10. Contact Fool Moon Theatre foolmoontheatre@gmail.com.
