The Margate Terrapin Rescue Project will be installing roadside barriers along the causeway ahead of terrapin nesting season. The organization is seeking volunteers to help dig trenches, move barriers, fasten them together, install fencing along the guardrails, and get nearly 2 miles of vulnerable terrapin crossing areas protected. Public Archeology Dig at Somers Mansion

Members of the public are invited to participate in archeological dig as part of Public Archeology Day. On March 4th, Archeologists led by Professor Richard Veit of Monmouth University came to Somers Mansion to begin the process of evaluating the site for a dig coordinated by the Patriots for the Somers Mansion and historian Dr. Levi Fox. Mental Health Support and Discussion Groups
Online groups are offered daily for a variety of topics, including women, men, LGBTQIA+, individuals aged 18-30. Boomers, anxiety, depression, eating disorder, and many others. Recovery Groups
More than a dozen groups for individuals living with substance use disorder are offered online. Topics range from mental health/wellness to employment, faith, and more. Wellness Groups
A wide variety of online groups are offered to enhance wellness and introduce interested participants to ways they can improve their day-to-day mental health. These daily groups include meditation, art, music, journaling, eating healthy, exercise, spirituality, adult coloring, gratitude, and more.
