The Egg Harbor Township branch of the Atlantic County Library System, located at 1 Swift Avenue, will be closed temporarily as of Monday, November 13 for the installation of a new $2 million HVAC system and generator. The library branch is expected to reopen in February 2024.
“The new system will ensure a comfortable environment for our patrons and staff and help us achieve greater energy savings,” stated County Executive Dennis Levinson.
Partial funding for the project is provided through a NJ State Library Construction Bond Grant and American Rescue Plan monies.
During the closure, patrons are encouraged to visit any of the library system’s other nine branches. Visit www.atlanticlibrary.org for locations and hours or call (609) 625-2776, ext. 6304. Patrons may also access digital media services and databases 24/7 on the website.
The EHT branch’s book drop box, located in the front of the building, will remain open for the return of any borrowed materials.
